I first became interested in writing this book when I was a new mom myself. As the motherhood adventure continued, I found I had almost a voyeuristic interest in other people's lives. I began to notice that the things that other couples fought about were exactly the same things that triggered our fights which seemed to occur when their kids were just the same ages as mine had been for the very same fight.
